What Are Launch Sites?
Launch sites are community-submitted locations where pilots have identified good places to launch and fly drones. They appear as markers on the Air-Chirp map, alongside hazards and other points of interest. Each site can include a name, description, and general location information.
Browse on the Map
Launch sites appear as markers on the live map. Toggle the launch site layer to see nearby spots, or tap a marker for details.
Submit a Site
Found a great flying spot? Submit it as a launch site marker directly from the map. Add a name, description, and location to help other pilots discover it.
Mark Hazards
See something dangerous at a flying spot? Submit a hazard marker to warn other pilots — power lines, wildlife, RF interference, or other risks.
Community-Driven
Launch sites are contributed by the Air-Chirp pilot community. The directory grows as more pilots share their knowledge of good flying locations.
How to Use Launch Sites
1. Toggle the launch site layer
On the live map, enable the launch site layer to see markers for community-submitted flying spots in your area.
2. Tap a marker for details
Tap any launch site marker to see its name, description, and any information the contributor provided. You can also see nearby airspace layers for awareness.
3. Submit your own
If you know a good flying spot that is not on the map, submit it as a launch site. Provide a descriptive name and useful details so other pilots can find and evaluate it.
4. Check conditions before you go
Before heading to a launch site, use the preflight dashboard to check weather and airspace conditions at that location.
Launch Sites Are Community Recommendations, Not Authorizations

Launch sites on Air-Chirp are submitted by community members and represent their personal recommendations. A launch site marker does not mean flying is legal, safe, or permitted at that location. Always verify local regulations, property permissions, airspace status, and current conditions before flying. Air-Chirp does not verify or endorse any community-submitted launch site.
